Lessons, Rocket Parts and !DO! LOFT

It’s going to be a BYOB affair, with a small cover charge donation. Please come for the LOVE OF FREAKING MUSIC, MAN!

New England, Young Canadian.

In the midst of fighting off (what I hope) is the last of the winter cold viruses, I’ve written some new tunes! One of which will find its way onstage with CC3 next week at:

I haven’t played the Lilypad since a steaming hot gig in August 2006 with Ed Zankowski and Rob Price, I’m excited to finally be back! The trio will be comprised of myself, Rob Price on guitar, and Lucio Menegon on bass. !DO! played McCabes Memorial Day weekend 2011, it is a tiny, FUNKY, place. I am quite excited to be back there, and am thankful for my New England “patriot” Geoff Payson for helping us out in many ways during these shows.

!DO! house band for Adam Growe Quiz Show

This weekend Simeon and I will be firing up the !DO! machine to perform as the house band at a special taping of the Adam Growe Quiz Show. This is an invite-only event, unfortunately but if you want to come, contact me and I’ll see if they are making any spaces available in the audience.

Adam Growe is, among other things, the host of Discovery TV (CANADA)’s show Cash Cab. His own “Quiz Show” also promises to deliver handfuls of actual cash money to its studio audience. Unlike a strip joint (or a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan concert, LOL) the money flows from performer TO audience, and not the other way around.

It should be good fun, and I hope to have clips to share sometime in the near future.

Totally Trio in Park Slope

I am in Brooklyn next week to perform with my trusty trio, CC3. Welcoming a special guest filling in for my !DO!-mate Simeon Abbott will be Chris Tarry on electric bass. He’s a bad mothersmacker, you dig. It’s going to be great, no cover but please do respect the tip jar! 2 sets from 10pm-12am Saturday March 24, 2012.
